Pure L-Tyrosine by Montiff provides a rich source of a
nonessential amino acid derived from phenylalanine that helps support
neurological health, mood, and reactions to stress and anxiety.
This amino acid is a precursor to catecholamine neurotransmitters, which when
deficient may cause a biochemical imbalance associated with depression.
This formula may help support:
• Proper neurological health
• Catecholamine levels, which can be deficient in depressed individuals
• Adrenaline and energy production
• Relief of stress symptoms
• Levels of dopamine, a deficiency of which is associated with such problems as
narcolepsy
Tyrosine and Depression:
Low levels of tyrosine in the blood may be associated with depression and
anxiety. Tyrosine is the precursor for catecholamine neurotransmitters in the
brain, which effect mood. A tyrosine deficiency can result in inadequate
norepinephrine in the brain, which causes depression. Reduced catecholamine
levels may also affect how you react to stress.
Tyrosine Benefits:
Tyrosine also plays a role in the production of melanin, thyroid hormones and
enkephalins, which are neurotransmitters that work to suppress pain. Melanin is
a pigment that provides color to skin and hair. And tyrosine acts as a
precursor to several thyroid hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and
development.
Tyrosine Deficiency may show itself as:
• Poor mood
• Low body temperatures with cold feet or hands
• Restless leg syndrome
