Hoelen & Bamboo Combination by Sun Ten also known as Wen Dan Tang is formulated to help bring harmony between the stomach and the gallbladder and treat phlegm heat.

Wen Dan Tang is a popular formula that is widely used to combat palpitation, insomnia, vertigo, nausea, anxiety, and vomiting caused by phlegm heat. Despite the fact that “Wen” means “warming”, the compounds in the product specifically target to clear phlegm heat.

In traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Qi energy can flow smoothly if there is harmony between the stomach and gallbladder, which allows them to function properly. In any other case, blocked Qi flow could transform it into phlegm and generate heat and cause restlessness and a stifling sensation in the chest, among many others.

Chen Pi (Per. Citri Reticulatae): It descends Qi, transforms phlegm, tonifies the spleen, and regulates Qi. Combined with Sheng Jiang, it fights vomiting and nausea caused by rebellious Qi., as well as other manifestations of cold-dampness and stomach Qi disharmony. Blended with Ban Xia, it helps battle phlegm-damp obstruction symptoms, such as excessive viscous sputum.
Zhu Ru (Caulis bambusae in taeniis): It is the most essential substance in the Materia Medica for clearing phlegm and heat from the stomach and gallbladder. It can help regulate Qi flow and also combats phlegm heat-related irritability, palpitations, emotional problems, and insomnia.
Zhu Shi (Fructus immaturis citri aurantii): An ingredient that helps stabilize Qi flow and treat local distention.
Ban Xia (Rhizoma pinelliae ternatae): Along with Chen Pi (pericarpium citri reticulatae), it helps expel phlegm and dry dampness while also harmonizing Qi circulation in the middle burner.
Fu Ling (Sclerotium poriae cocos): Combined with another compound, Gan Cao, which also harmonizes all other ingredients, it calms the spirit, leaches out dampness, and strengthens the spleen. It helps transform phlegm and harmonize the Middle Jiao while also treating vomiting, anorexia, distention, chest fullness, and nausea due to congested fluids.
Gan Cao (radix glycyrrhizae uralensis): It moderates the harsh attributes of the other herbs in the formula and harmonizes all other compounds. Gan Cao also tonifies the spleen, clears heat, and resolves phlegm. Sheng Jiang (rhizome zingiberis officinalis recens). Ingredients: Pinellia root (ban xia), Hoelen fungus (fu ling), Citrus peel (chen pi), Ginger root(sheng jiang), Bamboo shavings (zhu ru), Bitter orange fruit (zhi shi), Coptis root (huang lian), Jujube fruit (da zao).

Suggested Use:
Dissolve 1 to 2 grams in a cup of hot water to make a tea 2 to 3 times daily.
