Mai Men Dong Tang by Blue Poppy’s Great Nature Classics is a
formula that comes from Zhang Zhong-jings late Han dynasty Jin Kui Yao Lue
(Essentials from the Golden Cabinet).
Within this formula, Mai Men Dong nourishes the yin and engenders fluids of both
the lungs and the stomach. In addition, it clears heat and transforms phlegm.
Ren Shen supplements the qi and engenders fluids. Thus is supports both the qi
and yin.
Jing Mi, Da Zao, and Gan Cao further supplement the qi and engender fluids,
while Ban Xia transforms phlegm on the one hand and harmonizes the stomach on
the other.

laryngitis, pertussis, acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia,
asthma, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, peptic ulcer, reactive lymphoid
hyperplasia, and the side effects of radiation.
